Tara Revie Breeze, BATD Fellow - Highland, BATD Member - National, BFA, BEd, CI Trainer
Tara has been dancing for over 30 years. After teaching at various studios in the GTA area for several years Tara founded The Claymore Dancers, Academy of Highland Dance in 2010. She is a graduate of the Mayfield Regional Arts Dance Program and the York University Dance program. Tara is a BATD Fellow (Highland) and BATD Member (National Dances), a certified Conditioning and Imagery for Dance trainer, and holds a BFA in Dance (Honours) as well as a Bachelor of Education. In addition to studying Highland Dance she has also trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap. She was a member of the Scottish Dance Company of Canada for 10 years, and had the opportunity to perform on some of Toronto’s most famous stages with leading Celtic musicians including Leahy and Natalie MacMaster. Performance highlights include The 2003 Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the PBS special A Time to Remember.
Tara brings a passion for Highland Dance as well as a wealth of knowledge in dance education, conditioning and performance to each class. Classes are designed to be both fun and challenging, allowing each student the opportunity to develop their knowledge of Highland Dance as well as the opportunity to build self esteem, physical stamina and to make lifelong friendships.
